Back at college, feels great to be getting back into a rhythm

My mother has left for three weeks in the US. Her last act was to do a 'top-up' shopping trip so i didn't need to get groceries too  many times over the period. She brought back a nine-kilo (>20lb) ham. It didn't fit in our fridge.

In fact, this is pretty much my only gripe with the books and the show - eventually you reach a part where it's so freaking grim dark because pretty much everyone is dead and it's all going to shits.

I did always love that, introduce a character, spend the entire chapter listing off their history and backstory, then kill them off in the next one.
