Why do we have a derailment thread? I thought that was a small bit of the purpose of this thread, secondary to the happy posts but about the same as the occasional announcement or link to something cool.

It's Standard Constructed, that is, with premade decks we make ourselves beforehand.

The deck that pulled it off was a creatureless Red and Black control deck.

To keep on the train metaphors, the Happy Thread is not a single train, it is a series of locomotives on individual tracks, when someone brings up a new topic they're simply plonking another train down on another track. If a thread has no defined purpose, it can't really be derailed.

Well, technically anyway, if one came in here and started posting stuff that was against the overall happy theme it would be derailing, I s'pose.

Apparently I got my filling done while the cavity was still half a millimeter from the nerve canal... so, as long as it dosn't hurt after a week, I don't need a root canal.

I now want to make a DF mod replacing Dwarves with cavity causing bacteria, and mountains with teeth...

Worldgen would be... different.

So the blood I hacked up* earlier turned out to be mostly benign, in that I am almost certainly not dying. Follow-up appointment on Monday, but work today wasn't a problem and I've got all weekend to rest (which they said I should do). Easily worth the 50 dollar co-pay.

Woke up this morning and was vomiting pretty soon, noticed a few streaks of blood and went to the ER. As I had hoped, I'd just overindulged in strong drink (hence the vomiting), and I believe the combination of liquor with spicy, greasy, acidic food, and ibuprofen synergized in just about the worst way possible to irritate some lining or other a little too much. So, yeah, note to self, never eat pasta with a spicy egg-and-sour-cream sauce and follow it up with half a bottle of liquor so sugary it's sold in the liqueur section, then take a bunch of ibuprofen to ease the hangover when it turns out that twice that volume of water as you drank the booze didn't do the job.

Seriously, past me, why don't you think these things through, you dumbass. The only positive outcome here is that now you can sort of paraphrase Nic Cage and tell people that you "got drunk so hard that you PUKED! BLOOOOOD!"

Had a good time with a friend today at the pool. I was able to keep up with her most of the time in the deep end and made my first jump from the 3 meters tower.

I've decided to learn how to swim last June and it's going pretty good since.

Derailing for this thread means when people are talking about unhappy shit. Anything happy that someone brought up is on topic. This topic is for anything someone enjoyed, was entertained by or otherwise liked that they want to mention and maybe talk about. That's the point of this thread.

So as long as we aren't talking about something like... I dunno, beating puppies in wet burlap sacks with a crowbar? Then things are fine.
