Made it home, though I ran out of money and very nearly out of gas. I was lucky enough that the gas station attendant was not pissed that I paid for 74 cents of gas with 49 pennies and a quarter, even though being irritated would have been entirely justifiable because what kind of asshole does that >___________>

Payday soon. A really big one.

I will admit, however, that when one of our employees brought me $33 in pennies, nickels and dimes, all of which were uncounted, I almost punched her out.

Instead of that, however, when the time came for me to do something nasty, I made her do it instead. Being the assistant manager was pretty sweet, even though I hated the job and the employees.

So my dad calls me over for a suprise. And what a suprise it was, a late birthday present (wasn't actually expecting anything) that turned out to be crazy awesome. It's a pocket watch, a mechanical about 100 year old pocket watch of apparently German origin. It's working perfectly (there was a delay because of that, they needed to fix something), still missing its chain but holy shit a working mechanical (I have a cheap battery powered one my sister got me on a school trip) pocket fucking watch :O

Now I need to figure out what the stuff on a piece of another old pocket watch means.
Medaille d'or, 1895 and Invicta ring any bells? That along with some neat little engravings are what's on it (the piece, not the complete working one). Googling only threw up some watchmakers that make modern watches.

Medaille d'or is French for Gold Medal, and Invicta is a high end watch company that's been around for a century or two.

Further, I demand pictures if at all possible. Pocket watches are awesome.
