It's not so fun to drive in. It's even less fun to walk long distances in.

I think I just built a perpetual motion machine in D&D. By which I mean, a perpetual action machine. If traps work the way I think they do, it essentially is a mill that outputs a Greater Celerity for every cycle and, because it activates itself with each cycle, activates an infinite number of times in a single round each time the initial trigger happens.

This is way too simple to actually work, though.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Then by the process of elimination, it must be fun to watch!

My spider has molted and is once more adorable.
You have a spider?
A rose hair tarantula!

I have vague memories of my parents digging pits in the snow and putting me in them, back when we lived in Wisconsin.

Yes, and no. I think they might have been trying to build up my tolerance for cold so I wouldn't complain about not using anything but dinky old space heaters in winter.  :P

Legitimate happy for me:

Spent the most time with the ladyfriend today than I ever have. Over the course of the day, we must've talked for a good 4 hours total, plus played some games together near the end for another hour or so.
