I beat the original X-COM for the first time today.  I've been to Cydonia a few times, but never won before.  The ending is kinda... disappointing?  Just shoot the thing, get a few still shots with text, and get dumped back on the main menu, really?
Regardless, let's all give our thanks to Colonel Gerhard Geisler, Saviour of the Earth.  Guy was with me from January 1999 to January 2000, on countless missions, killed hundreds of aliens, and eventually was able to reliably mind control three ethereal leaders in a turn and still move around.  Dude was badass.

I remember well that time I stacked up random office desk stuff until it was taller than I was, while doing volunteer work in the local city hall. People coming to pay their water bill looked at it a little funny.

so, my sister just played the slender man (not enderman) game, the first static on screen caused her to propel her chair backwards several feet.  She is not playing anymore, and might have trouble sleeping... good thing she does not know that much about the mytos.
