I own both my car and truck outright.
My student loan balance is less than my retirement fund.
My mortgage balance is less than the value of my house.
My credit  card balance is less than the cash in my checking account.

I have more assets than debt.

How the hell did this happen?

Obviously you're an un-American pod person. How dare you not do your part to contribute to the national debt??

Yeah, if you're not one step away from a lifetime of indentured service to a bank, you're obviously not American.

Of course, I've never even used a credit card in my life, much less taken out a loan, so I'm not sure what I am.

I am going to embark on a quest.

I will write the worst smutty novel ever written.

It will be pointlessly prurient, almost plotless, include lots of depraved sex scenes for no reason, have extremely flat characters, writing of an ultraviolet hue, and metaphors and similes that fail like Hitler in World War Two.

And it will be twelve hundred pages long.

It probably could.

Ooh ooh, make the protagonist be a Nazi vampire lady filled with remorse for her past sins.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

It doesn't. It's ostensibly a detective story set in the harem of the King of the World, where the girls run around having lesbian frolics and (on this occasion) killing each other.

That's why it won't be a bestseller like Fifty Shades of Grey was- the only guy in the story spends his time ruling the world and being an unapproachable-save-for-a-few sex god, leaving his charges to wander around engaging in depraved sexytimes.

Assuming the worst of the economy and being frugal?
Kinda, yea.

I am super frugal. It was a big step for me when I threw out clothing that was torn and hole'y. Still working my way up to throwing out clothing that is badly stained. I actually have less than 5 pairs of pants that are in good enough shape to wear to work... I should probably do something about that.

I just am not sure I know how to deal with the stress of not being financially stressed.

Step Into Liquid is on Sundance Channel right now (about an hour through). Been a long time since I've watched a good surf movie like that and Endless Summer 1 and 2. These guys are insane. I think that one movie coming out "Mavericks" is about one of the dudes in this movie. They look similar, and those waves are insanely huge.

Add some Foilboards, and now you've got yourself a fun ride on those suckers. That movie makes me want to go surfing again.

EDIT:
I forgot about that scene. While out in Cortez (100 miles out in the middle of the ocean where there's a sea mount (underwater mountain)), one of them managed to catch a 66 foot tall wave. 0_0 That thing was 11x taller than him.
