More importantly, does this mean ebooks won't cost as much as a hardback book sometimes?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I don't wonder. I do, however, laugh at the implications re: a certain other Ubuntu.

In other news, aced a midterm. Went above and beyond what I needed to for pretty much everything on it.

We would do well to be careful about making value judgments about cultures based on sappy picture anecdotes.

Some aspects of culture are superior, though not all. Africa's still the most war torn place in the world, as I recall.

Funny how "brotherhood" and similar concepts bring a small group together, but alienate those outside of it. Let's band together so we can fight those people.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Hence why I said I don't wonder. Speculation, however amusing it may be, generates little to no useful information.

I still like to dispel the popular pre-conception that this is the only thing there is to know about that part of the world, though.

Have some more sappy:  Man raises grizzly bear to be best friend.

So. I finally around to burying my guinea pig. It was actually kind of a serene experience. Digging the hole, placing the shoebox in gently, then filling in the hole again. Then finding stones to place over the dirt. Kind of made me feel at peace for some reason.
