Just got EU3.

First tried playing Frankfurt on the idea that I'd lose horribly but learn how to play on a small scale and work my way up to the superpowers where I might actually win.
Which didn't work.

Then I tried playing Castille. Everything was going great until I attacked Aragon without Cassus Belli, which apparently means "start World War 1" as everyone either abandoned me or declared war. I did manage to survive, and even took Aragon itself, though they didn't recognize that as the war going good for me, likely because they had over 20 guys from their alliance generally causing a ruckus behind my lines. I managed to get white peace, take a deep breath, say "Let's prepare next time", and then get randomly assaulted by Portugal.

I thought we had a royal marraige, Portugal? What, did you overpay for shoes or something? Is it that time of the month again; the point where she turns into a werewolf? We do that.

Sorry, but spanish women are all werewolves, I thought you knew.

Quit and don't save. Phew.

Got an awesome new shirt, went to my favorite restaurant, and had an alcoholic drink that I actually enjoyed and didn't throw up later! Awesome day :D

There was lots of driving to make it happen, but I visited a dear friend. There was much cuddling, and Magic, and we watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and basically it was an awesome time.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Lemon and Paeroa is fucking awesome. The convenience store at my uni sells cans amongst its selection of foreign soft drink. It's easily my favourite.

That made me laugh too!
Because it makes sense in-context. :P
And is funny to read from a formal book.
You're fine, Skyru.

On another note: First time RTD, people wished me well. Love Bay12.

My happy is I am finally making noticeable progress on massive pile of never-ending homework.
Curse my procrastinative nature and the whole "Oh, I can do it tomorrow." thing.

Edit: This song also makes homework somewhat bearable.

I saw a cute girl with a 40k shirt today and when I thought about it I realized that, having seen the way 40k fans tend to act about it on the internet, I'm not sure I could handle the kind of person who likes 40k enough to wear shirts about it in public.  I'd like to occasionally talk about other things, you know?

That makes me happy because it made me realize I'm finally 40k-free.  Clean and serene for 70 days.

EDIT:  At least I think it was a 40k shirt.  My google-fu isn't helping me here, anyone know what I'm talking about here?  I only saw half of it, but it was a very stylized aquila, kind of hand-drawn-looking with curved wings.  In the center (The eagle's body) was an open circle with some kind of glyph, I couldn't see the whole thing.
