ok, this made me laugh.
And to think, he had a perfectly good weaponization oppurtunity. He could've walked around with an umbrella in one hand and the bottle in the other.

So that's how Mary Poppins did it...

A happy sad: Dishonored releases this week. But I don't have enough money to buy it and also have enough to feed my car.

After more than a year of planning, consideration, and thoughts (ok, not continuously, thank goodness, but I was first interested in the idea back in August of last year, and have notes on the idea starting from May), I've started a Touhou tabletop RPG thread (here in the forum games subforum), and also my first stint as a GM. I'm really nervous, but happy that I might have an opportunity to share the game with others and hopefully tell an interesting story. It's been great just to solidify and codify those thoughts into something that others might be able to enjoy.

Fun stuff! Bit of warning if you have a bunch of things planned out, though: Careful of railroading.

Yeah, I've been trying to only get a "railroaded" thing planned, while leaving enough leeway for other things to happen, should they happen. I know as an RPG player I tend to be easily railroaded, so this is probably the hardest thing about the whole GMing process.

Yes, it is important to remember that PC's WILL subvert the most carefully laid plans on occasion. So have a fallback plan, always.

I DM'd a campaign I put my heart and soul into, and well, it didn't turn out as planned and I wasn't willing to bend what I had laid out. It crashed and burned spectacularly. So yeah, be flexible, and realize you're not the only storyteller if you're doing an RP heavy campaign. Your players are as much writing the story as you are.

It's best to sketch out a number of possible outcomes, and finish up the one that ends up happening. Even Acerak did not forsee being slain by his own deathtrap, in the most infamous instance of the Tomb of Horrors.

I have no idea if my Canada story is any good. But people seem to like it? So woo.

I also have no fucking plan whatsoever. I'm literally flying by what people suggest and spur-of-the-moment decisions.

's great, ya.
