Cold is when your nose hairs freeze together.

Cold is when your Nintendo DS snaps in half because you took it outside from a warm room.

Cold is when you wear snow pants.

This all happened to me.

Also, the music is pretty good.

Upper 30s isn't cold Redking.  Only when it drops below 10 Fahrenheit does it reach "chilly".  Cold is below 0 Fahrenheit.
If you're a polar bear, maybe. Or wearing the carcass of a polar bear.

Coldest I think I've ever experienced was -4 Fahrenheit. IIRC, I was thinking "So *this* is what the vacuum of space feels like!"

As a kid, I used to love it when it got to -40 C, because it meant school was canceled.  :)

I think living somewhere more temperate has made me into a bit of a wuss when it comes to cold nowadays.

Cold is when you walk home with blue skin.

Cold is when you can chill about on rivers, channels n' shit.

Cold is when the blood on your leg freezes your cuts shut.

This all happened to me.

Why is nobody else excited for winter >:( I know more than one of you lives in this hemisphere...
See, when Eddard Stark looks out on the ramparts and says, "Winter is coming", there's a REASON it's said in that tone of voice and not "Woohoo! Winter is coming! Par-tay!!!"

Winter SUCKS. Especially when, as I do, you live north enough that shit gets cold, but south enough that snow is rare. Instead, you spend much of the winter in upper 30's and rain. Thus narrowly avoiding one of the few things that would actually make winter fun.
Snow isn't that great. Unless you have a working snowblower, you have to spend time breaking your back shoveling that shit. Though driving in snow is fun. Or a snowstorm, at night. For several miles down the interstate.

-20?

I'm going to see what the first day last year was when it got down below -20 Celsius. The answer is November 18, and that was a really mild winter. The day when it got to -50 a few years ago was awesome (that's 58 below for you Americans).

There is already snow on the mountains in this little corner of Wales. We dont so much have Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter as the bit where it rains and the bit when it snows.

Another Welshman on Bay12?  What is this nonsense?

One day at school it snowed 2 feet sometime in May, so the buses were canceled. It's a rural school, so only about 20 people showed up.

We spent all day making a 6-foot-tall snow fort (no exaggeration) that could fit everyone present, with fortifications and windows. That was an amazing day.

Yes, I just lapsed into Imperial... this is a weird country to be in.

I....I'm not entirely sure you people are human.  :o

Of course, when I'm lounging about in 100-degree, 98% humidity weather I imagine my genetic purity is in doubt as well.
