I'm happy because I think I can still sell ghosts on eBay.

According to the rules, you need to be able to transport it, and it needs to be a thing. It will probably get taken down for not being real enough. You can put up a locked box and say it contains a ghost or something.

Go ahead and try it and report back with the results!

It would definitely be in a jar or something. You can't sell a ghost without trapping it first.

Can't actually see the site (because news sites are invariably shittily coded pieces of shit that crash iPad safari), but the title alone sounds bloody awesome.

Now. When does it become commercially viable and able to be stuck into my computer? Also, transfer speed, degradation rate/life span, so on? What's the stats above and beyond massive storage, basically.

Sadly, does not seem useful for hard drive purposes. Takes a long time to actually access data. Might be used for archival purposes, though.

Are you sure iPad Safari isn't the crappy coded crap, Frumple? They don't seem to crash much else.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Yeah, but still, 700 TB is an amazing amount. It could be useful for long-term spaceflight for instance, keep the computers mostly off until the few years have passed then read the data and boot up.

I just watched a dude get 20 kills without dying once in a game of DOTA2. Convinced me to finally sign up for the Beta.

Basically, the speed is total crap, but its got good (AKA possibly hundreds of years) stability/lifespan if I am reading it correctly but the main thing is the  amount of storage posible, which is so massively dense (mainly because its 3D storage instead of 2D like our current storage) that a few grams of it could store all the encoded information in the world.

This makes me so happy, yay sci-fi coming true.

Also: GODAMN FRENCH KEYBOARD (which if typed with the keys I normally use becomes: GODQ?N FRENCH KEYBOQRD, which is close enough to keep tripping me up every few letters but not close enough to not be a huge pain in the ass).
