Well, it only took about seven hours, not including the several days of triage and file-wrangling, but I have a new harddrive with Windows 7 and working Internet connectivity.

And now, to trash this drive to Hell and back.

Got a new mouse with awesome scrollwheel. You can change between 'continues spinning with almost no friction' and 'discrete notches which hold it in place' with a button on it. Now I can scroll through code at ludicrous speed! :D
