I spent like 15 hours over the past two days preparing for a oneshot that will last, at most, 4 hours. Tasks included splicing some giant google maps images together to get some terrain (3328x2944 pixels, or 52x46 squares), image manipulation to make clear what parts of terrain have different game effects, creating new pogs for gametable (including 2 hours I spent on a Cloudkill pog for reasons that are no longer entirely clear to me), arranging several dozen pogs on the map (about 10 of which represent groups of monsters that aren't worth tracking individually), and writing statistics for basically-Sauron and his Allip companion.
