Hey, a good game is a good game. I've never played Harvest Moon specifically, but I've enjoyed similar games, as well as those on the complete opposite end of the spectrum.

In other news started to play Digimon World 2 again. Last played when I was a little kid and couldn't figure anything out (much less how to save) but now things make so much sense.

edit: Also apparently Origin is giving me a free game, abet from a limited selection. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 or Spore?

See, I've got friends who are hardcore and only play things like Metroid and Castlevania. They whine all the time about how horrible casuals are and they're ruining gaming and all those other arguments we got tired of in 2005.

Then my other friends only play more casual games like Pokemon and Minecraft and they just think I'm a jerk/nerd/etc for playing more hardcore games, most likely because they've seen fans of those games talk about how things like Pokemon and Minecraft are horrible and ruining gaming.

A quick scan through my games list (if you had an hour or so to spare, anyway) would show games all over the spectrum. Pokemon, Minecraft, Harvest Moon? Check. Counterstrike, Mass Effect, CoD: MW? Check. Dwarf Fortress, Iji, Cortex Command? Check again. I have a hard time identifying with "hardcore", "casual", and "indie" gamers alike. I just game.

In case the above mini-rant doesn't meet the minimum happiness quota, temperatures are supposed to drop nearly 20 degrees this weekend. Huzzah!
