I've never seen the appeal of adding food to the mix. Or tentacles, for that matter. Especially tentacles, I mean wtf.

Maybe I'm boring.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

...Unless... You're saving them for the sequel, aren't you, you cunning little bastard. "BananaBread Jones and the Coming of the Kitthulu Two" indeed. Out December 21st 2012.

I was intending to make a sequel poster. I'll try and incorporate the people I missed the first time.

While reading a fanfic on SB, I happened across the best song in the world.

This is the song that never ends,
Yes it goes on and on my friends.
 Some people started singing it,

A friend of mine had an interesting way to reason why tentacles are a thing.

The ocean is damn weird once you go deeper than the fishies and the reefs, theres octopi and stuff. So sex there must also be weird. Combine the two and you get tentacle porn, Japan just gets all the attention because they have more islands and less land than we do and thus more potential for ocean-based weirdness.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Tentacles are amazing; they taste great and slide down your throat just right.

By which I mean I think squid is a nice food.

Yes, they are. :3 I personally prefer octopus over squid or cuttlefish, but that may be just me.

I think I"m just going to use what little spare time I have (or really don't have) to do the fort mapping I've wanted to for some time, at least in a preliminary format with pictures, zoning, explaining the "Super Z Level" concept etc, etc.

I think I can safely call bullshit on that theory. Greece is chock full of islands too, and there's not a whole lot of tentacle rape in Greek myth. For them, it was all about the livestock (Zeus as a swan, Zeus as a bull, etc)

I think it's more Because Japan. Specifically that you have this country that was socially very conservative and traditional for centuries and then in the span of less than 100 years, got catapulted into liberal democracy and figuring out a way to absorb and internalize an alien culture while retaining their national character.

tldr; IMHO, Modern Japan has cultural PTSD which manifests as sexual fetishes and general weirdness.

At the breakneck rate that China is modernizing, I would not at all be surprised to see China come up with some epic-level weirdness to match or exceed their Nihonjin neighbors.

And lastly, spicy dried cuttlefish is a tasty snack. And lightly fried squid and octopus can be good too.
