I hated Vista with an unbridled passion. 7 Still has some problems and I can't stand "App Data" surviving somehow, but I'll take it over Vista's glitches with any third party software I ever tried to use.

Vista for me besides lacking the compatibility that XP has, has never caused me a problem.

Vista was the antichrist who brought the curse of the Ribbon interface to this world.

Vista wasn't too hard to work around... after I turned off everything that made it vista and used it as a somewhat gimped XP system. Before that, it was so close to nonfunctioning it made no nevermind :-\

Never again. Honestly, I don't even want to "upgrade" to seven when I get my next computer, but it's hard to find a new comp being sold with XP. Bleh.

My problem with Vista was that it jumped in resource usage without any perceptible reason to do so. I forget how much memory XP requires, but I do recall being rather perplexed at Vista’s 1GB requirement, and I could not discern what it was doing with more memory.

This is, of course, would be a trivial concern for someone that is not using four-year-old equipment.

Now, it matters not, for I have been enlightened.

My daughter just came up to me at random and asked if I knew that dragons breathe fire. I told her that I did. She got a very serious look on her face and said, "You could roast a lot of marshmallows with a pet dragon!"

Holy crap, why did I not start watching One Punch Man earlier? This is the best thing.
probably figured an autobiography wouldn't be interesting

That was always my childhood fantasy, owning a pet dragon. Eragon was the book for that reason.

Heck, owning a dragon still sounds frigging awesome.

Dragons.

Oh sure, I'm interested in the medical, and nutritional potential of genetic engineering. It could certainly save a lot of lives.

But dragons. Unicorns. Talking professor apes. Fairies.

THEY are why I want GE and GM to prosper.

Because dragons.

Probably one of the things that first got me interested in genetics and biology was wanting to know if we could ever engineer mythological critters in the lab. If we ever get a good sample of unfossilized dinosaur tissue or can find some unconventional way to extract it from what remains we have, I really hope we give cloning them a shot. They're attempting to clone the Mammoth right now, due to stumbling upon some new remains in the permafrost, which is just about as cool.

I tracked down the most incredible martial-arts movie I have seen in a while, including Pirates, Wizards, Ninjas, Guns, and Aquaman. It's beautiful, has a neat setting in a mythological version of Thailand's history, and really is pretty incredible.

Anyway, I'm going to be streaming it this weekend, and you guys should totally check it out! I'm aiming for Saturday in the early afternoon (about this time) or evening EST... though I could do it late tonight or early Sunday too, depending on when interested folks are available.

I just got my Mother Tongue (Finnish) essay back on the subject of "How does the influence of Classical antiquity appear in Shakespeare's text(s)?". (We had to read either 'Hamlet' or 'Romeo and Juliet' during this course, and I read 'Hamlet'.)

Grade was 9- (grade system ranges from 4 to 10).

How on did this happen? Didn't even get the usual "this essay is too short", even though the length of my essay was half of what was recommended.

I've wanted a genetically engineered pet pseudodragon since I was 13.

Demon's Souls server was announced to be shutting down forever on May 31 as of a month or so ago, so I've been rushing to finish it for the past few weeks.

Just got the email from Atlus saying the server life has been extended for the near future.

Yayyyy :D
