I got my hands on "My Japanese Coach" for the DS, and it's a pretty nifty little thing. Why not learn a new language, when it's fairly fun to do as well.
I forgot how good learning new things feels.
Woo!  I have all the kana and 161 kanji.

According to the game, I'm still on "Toddler" level!

And it started with Touhou's resident thief, Marisa using part of the master emerald for her master spark.

All this talk about chat reminds of something: I made a new friend via Pesterchum recently. Our first conversation started out with me asking him if he'd ever taken the time to feel his skull just for the hell of it, and it eventually drifted to a discussion about religion, spirituality, and transhumanism. I'd post some of the pesterlogs, but I can't access them ATM.

Somebody is actually hiring in the Cleveland Area:

http://prcrecruit.com/TriMark-Installers.html
http://www.sskemp.com/

I am impressed. We need jobs for people. This is what rainmakers call "an in," if you know how to work it right.
I am not affiliated with this company in any way; and I'm just happy to see hiring. I know people need jobs, so posting

Edit: I should start a free employment help service where I show people how to do resume and posting work while listing legit job opportunities free of charge so they build a relationship with me.... Nothing promised, but it's free.... Then later on when they need a lawyer they might remember my name..... [ponders]. :P

I am happy because of this company hiring and because I have found 2 people jobs in the last 5 months. I get exactly shit for it, but meh.

I'm seriously considering picking up a second job. I love my job, but damn, 8-10 hours a week is not cutting it.

Truean has the entrepreneurial spirit.
Sick of living in a country with poverty and unemployment.

Truean may have found a way to get free advertising people give a shit about by reviewing their resume' instead of paying for a commercial people turn to another radio station to ignore. :P

Completely unintended side effect, I'm arguably helping and being a decent human being? I have no idea what to think of this.

Damn radio station, I'm sick of paying them for stuff to go out over the air that's ignored. It's all:
"At the law firm of [click, listener changes the station, song plays]" <---- $20.... Fuuuuuuuuu.

I could make this a thing with salespeople.... Extension of networking.... Hum.... [ponders]
Na, A.)I wouldn't trust 'em and B.) That's my bit.

I'm so happy to be using statistical rigor in this project. Had I just tried to eyeball it, I would have failed to an absurd degree. I now have a die rolling mechanic, a formula for calculating defense, and projected attack values. Don't like the way the numbers work out, but at least I know it now and can address it. Maybe things'll work out better with d6s than d10s, giving my buddy no end of gloating material.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

well, seems yer gonna have to live with it. human nature makes it so that some lazy arseholes! it's their fault they are poor! people are always poor because they are exploited by others.

maybe just make your house an independent nation?

[shrugs] I dunno. At least I'm trying. I don't see anybody else doing very much. Unfortunately I think people might not appreciate it/take it for granted. Meh.

Bah, to red hell with your negativity. It sounds like something I wouldn't mind utilizing at all, if I were aware of it, and definitely something a lot of areas would seriously benefit from. Plenty of people appreciate stuff like that, they just tend to be quieter and less memorable than the noisey jackasses.
