The culmination of two days of work is at hand: a Victor Talking Machine prop for a production of "My Fair Lady" that I was successfully guilted into making. Most of that time was spent failing at basic carpentry and waiting for various paints and glues to not quite dry but at least get to a state where I can kind of work with the various parts so I can move on to the next step, and now I'm waiting for the last bit of gluing to dry so I can screw it down with last screw. It's going to look like crap when it's done, and this project undoubtedly would have turned out better if just about anybody else had been assigned to do it. Still, at the end of this all, I'm going to be able to look at that thing and say, "I made that." Though I probably won't say it out loud, because, well, it looks like crap and I don't want to publicly take responsibility for it.

Hey, natural disasters are an important part of, like, atmo/geosphere balance or something like that. Frankly, they're more important for the continued existence of life on earth than us humans are, to a large extent.

If this Tenshi critter's moving that along, it's something to thank. Though it's kinda' like thanking a fever for helping to kill the stuff making you sick.

Kikkoman soy sauce sucks.
I no longer use kikkoman.
Therefore I am happy because I use a nearly equal price product that is significantly better in nearly every way (better flavor, stronger flavor ect).

I strongly disagree. Kikkoman soy sauce is the best on the market. Alternatives are cheap western knockoffs which are made with sugar and yeast.

Blasphemy! Kikkoman is great, especially as an ingredient for asian cuisine.

Stir-fried beansprouts are especially good when you use Kikkoman with it.
