5 year? I thought you were younger than I!

I'm only 20, my friend. I've been through many situations and experienced many things that take a lifetime to go through, and others that would best be left out of one's life. I'd like to think I've grown more mature and strong from my experiences, though it leaves me a bit alienated from those my age.

Folks my age are drinking, partying, screwing everything that moves without a care in the world, and I've been nearly married, managed my own business, have multiple business licenses, have lived in multiple countries, and most importantly, survived through one hell of a fucked-up childhood, if one could dare call it that.

Lets just say I had to grow up faster than I should have.

--- --- ---

On a more positive note, a friend of mine wants me to write lyrics for his rock band. Huzzah, someone's actually interested in my crappy philosophical-poetic lyrics!

Goodness. I'm 20.

I'm about a halfway house between you and the 'general 20yo populus' i would think.

While I haven't nearly been married and managed a business or lived in multiple countries, I've never seen the point in the 'screw everyone with a pulse and drink till you faint' lifestyle.

Are they at least delicious?

I don’t always drink beer, but, when I do, I prefer Dos Equis.
Fixed that for you.

Apparently an adventurous english fellow tried eating an elephant trunk once in the early 20th century. He reported back as saying 'The meat was too tough, even after stewing it for over a week.'
