You're fighting the Tome of Tropes

You can't focus your attention on working,or on much of anything,so you turn to the nuclear solution of boredom:the Tome of Tropes.It's a giant book thatexplains andgives clever names to all of therecurring themes inliterature,popularculture,and even real life.

There are two things about the book that make it purest evil:the first is that anyone can add to it,so it's always changing and growing larger.The second is that every entry contains several references to other cleverly-named tropes,and touching one of those names sends you to an explanation of that trope's name,complete with references to other tropes . . .and at some point you look up and see you're eight years older than when you started.

Because cost. Less lights = lower power bill.

Also windows, so no need for them most of the day. Default still too bright when just dealing with sunlight. Darkling just has better contrast, at least for me. Light font on darker background much lesser strain, within reason.

Well the point I tried to make was why not have lights on if theres no natural light. There are no windows in the room I have my computer actually, so I have lights always on. Costs money. :s

My house is going to closing tomorrow, my parents love the new place. Thus ends home related uncertainty.

I am receiving minor increased responsibilities at work, training and supervising newbies. Unfortunately no pay bump in the process. Project option years are extending. We are expanding into the office next door and manning up for a new project at this location. thus ends most job related uncertainty.

I lost 10 lbs without trying.

I got part of the money the IRS owes me.

I barely have any bad news.

Mark Watches Buffy just reached the opener of season five, aka the one where Dawn shows up out of nowhere.

The whole commenting community decided to play along with the retcon. There are about four unspoiled first-timers flailing wildly while everyone else is talking about how the character sucked back in season two. And laughing manically. Mostly in rot13.

Oh, and rot13 of ahahahahaha is nununununun, which is why the thread is also full of images and videos of nuns.

Everyone plans to do the same with Ben/Glory later in the season.
