Cheese cubes are amazing for fishing bait.

I love pretty much all cheeses, except the kinds that come with extra mold.  Favorite of all time would probably be crumbled feta, especially melted on a sandwich.

As for best lunch, with me it depends on the climate.

Hot days: A QUARTER OF A WATERMELON.

Days where I need large amounts of energy (hiking, cleaning, etc): Either boiled quinoa, or brown rice with sweet and sour chilli tofu.

Relaxful days: Anything roast-y.

On-the-go: Sandwiches with avocado and something else delicious too.

... You tried cheese on icecream?

Yup. I've got a pretty limited selection of foods I can stomach the taste/texture of, primarily grains and meat, with a bit of fruit thrown in -- and an even more limited selection that I've been able to consistently afford to eat. When you only major variety comes from putting stuff together, you occasionally get... curious. And then throw X and Y (and possible Z and/or Q and/or... well, you get the idea.) together, just to see if it'd liven up the monotony.

Sometimes things turn out pretty well. Sometimes it... doesn't. Usually it ends up somewhere middling in between the two extremes, but at least it was something novel made with the ingredients already on hand. Still, just with access to noodles, potatoes, rice, and a little bit of stuff to throw in it, I can go a good week or so without having to eat anything that has extremely similar tastes/textures.

That, is a g'damn blessing for my culinary sanity. And sanity in general.

A guilty delight is slightly old, good quality bread, dipped in a mixture of oregano, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

This is a sandwich I have had for a while, and although you have to be careful about the damn thing disintegrating in your hands and covering them in sauces, it's damn tasty.

Well, according to wiki, phlogiston comes from greek meaning 'burning up;' thus THE PHLOGISTON OF SOLITUDE would probably be a description of a sensory deprivation chamber. Solitude which is all-consuming and which feels like it is burning you alive.
