Eh. Too many pirates for me, and there's no way to disable or tone them down. I can't count how many full-on war fleets I lost trying to destroy their bases.

actually, in I think it's game options, you can disable pirates.

tone them down though, nope.

It's been a while since I played SoaSE, but I do remember looking through the options and not finding anything.

Anyway, the constant, ever-escalating pirate threat was the only real thing I hated about that game. Everything else was pretty solid, and I liked it.

It's kind of a jerk move to ask someone if they are a virgin. So jerk was not not getting a serious answer, but just blowing him off wasn't enough, so wordplay was called for.

Tactic: "The ole' def switch implication."

Definition: "Virgin" (See Also Ralph) One who has not had sex.
Implication: Jesus was a virgin birth, so in order to give birth to jesus, you'd have to be a virgin.

I didn't just deny jerk an answer, I denied jerk an answer cleverly and made him think for a second. Obviously this is not what he meant, but he was never getting that answer, as he was a jerk for even asking for it. Logically, the answer I gave adds up to "no," because if you can't give birth to a Jesus, then you aren't a virgin. I'm keeping him wondering though, because do I just not get it or what?
