Did my first 300m hurdles race today, and ended up as 6th out of 18 runners. Also got recruited to do a leg of the 4x4 relay which was missing a member (that anchor who runs a 51 second 400...) and all the alternates. I only ran a 56, but we still got 3rd place. Pretty good time, overall. I think at future meets I'm going to do the 300m hurdles and 3200 pretty much exclusively.

Also, got my first drone on my homemade bagpipe working without a mouth on the reed. It sounds like an unholy beast, but soon it will be attached to a bag and play with two other drones and a chanter, providing a basis for a chord of guttural roars.

Well, he actually doesn't train much for it, asides from the normal sprinting workouts he does for jumping. (I think his long jump is usually ~23 feet, his triple jump is ~45 feet, and he high jumped 6'3" today. Crazy talent.) I think the current world record is about 43.5, but he could definitely work at it and get it to Olympic-trials level if he had time. The guy gets about half the points our track team wins at every meet just from winning all his events. 

In happy news, on Monday there's supposed to be a Spring Sports assembly, and Knowledge Bowl is finally invited. We'll be going against a panel of teachers in a short exhibition round of ~20 questions, it should be pretty great. (Unless my mythologically powerful Physics teacher nullifies the strong forces in our bodies or something. Long story having to do with repeatedly breaking physics.)

Finally found my phone; lost it about 3 weeks ago. A thorough searching of the room involving the moving of furniture, searching the insides of said furniture, checking the pockets of every pair of pants, and rummaging through my garbage was required. Turns out it just fell into the garbage and in such a way as to be covered by numerous other items while hiding in a fold of the garbage bag. Now I can finally recharge it and get my parents to stop sending emails to turn my phone on.

Had a great night out with a bunch of friends, drank some tequila and relaxed, ended up not going to a (bust) party and instead had fun with friends at one's place, got home 2 AM and played Unreal World RPG til an hour ago, and now I'm going to my cousin's military ceremony and our official goodbye as she goes off to Afghanistan for a year.

Reason I'm in a good mood though is due to the fact that my ex-fiance randomly wants to 'come over to hangout on her day off', Monday, for some god damned reason.


Why do women give you shit when you show them you're a good guy who's honest, loyal and dedicated, then when you ignore them and stop putting up with their shit they flock to you like your cock is made of liquid diamonds? Thankfully I'm skilled in the art of reverse psychology, or I'd be hopelessly lost in a maze of woman-induced psychological trauma.

All in all, I say this has been a good weekend, if not a confusing one.
