Met another of my uncles today, met my grandma, met my cousin, and her two daughters, and her husband (who, together with his friends, look like they could star in grease) and got to help unpack and encyclopedia. (that's like wikipedia: the book, for you youngins) which went up to my waist when stacked. Also walked through a town where no building seems to be younger than 400 years old.

I too was confused by my vestigial knowledge of fanfic lingo, between slash and slasher.  I didn't know which one I wanted to be right on.

To my amazement, I managed to successfully uninstall and reinstall Crimson Skies on my computer (plus GFX patch) and it works. HUZZAH!

This game is every bit as fun as I remember it being (a true buried treasure). And better yet, I simply rock at this game now that I'm no longer using a keyboard to pilot my aircraft. Already reached mission 9.

EDIT:
That Balmoral Bomber stunt I did (auto-screenshot) is worthy of being my new avatar. And yes, I managed to pull off that stunt unscathed with pretty much the biggest aircraft in the game at full speed.

Cropped it to be more avatar-friendly. Personally, it's probably one of my most-favorite screencaps. This game is too badass to let fade into obscurity. Steam needs this game in it's lineup, along with the GFX patch included.

I too am astounded that you got Crimson Skies to run on a modern computer.  Fly forever dude.

Ah, I loved doing stunt flights in a Balmoral.  I think the Peacemaker was my favorite plane though.

Nothing. But in that case, it would be a slashfic about slashers. Which would still be a turn-on for some people.
