Tracked down a reasonable translation of Romancing SaGa 3. It's like Squaresoft and Bethesda had an RPG lovechild... non-linear Final Fantasy with permanent character death, highly-customizable characters, and challenging tactical combat. I love the soundtrack too... the battle-theme has an almost Tango feel.

Anyway, I'm going to be Livestreaming the shit out of it.

The characters you recruit start pre-named, sadly... but you can totally be Sharn the Kung-Fu guy with the silver hand! Or I can get this character-renamer hack to work...

Also, the Livestream is going live in not too long, once we figure out who our main character is going to be, if anyone wants to check out the game with us. The SaGa series more or less never made it out of Japan, so I'm excited that there's a translation!

I could have sworn that you could name all of your starting doodz. It's been so long since I've played that. SaGa is one of my favorite serieses. ^_^

My big brother came home from college and stayed a whole week, after a seven month stint away from home. He came bearing many gifts. He got a new mini-fridge, so I got the old one. Do not underestimate my ability to completely fail to understand anything. It is mighty.

Surprisingly good performance in the debating competition!  Managed to get to the novice final after my team conclusively showed that atheletes should receive a lifetime ban if they make a racist comment and that we should not return stolen artefacts to their home countries.  The final went badly due to us having to take what I regard as an even less defensible position (hey, out of 7 debates I managed to end up on the side I disagreed with 7 times), but at least I had fun defining the motion in such a way that the entire debate was crazy.
