Before going out on stage, I always get myself really pumped up.  Because when people pay money to see a fifty year old man dance around in women's clothing, they expect him to be pumped.

Apparently Dee Snider is making an album due to drop in May, composed entirely of his renditions of showtunes.  He's got quite a list of guest stars and an interesting song list.

He's also dropped a free single as a preview.  It's either the hardest rocking gay song I've ever heard, or the gayest hard rock I've ever heard, but God help me I love it.  I must obtain this album, it appeals to my every sense of nostalgia, songwriting, rock'n'roll, and pure fucking absurdity.

What did the programming test consist of?

2 dead simple projects:
- debug an already created ActionScript app: user can choose 2 dates, app is supposed to calculate the hours between them
- using .NET (language not specified), create an app that creates "helloworld.txt" on the Desktop; the file can be empty

I found both to be interesting, but not-too-difficult challenges. The ActionScript one was dead simple once I figure out what was going on (never touched it before in my life). The .NET one just required looking up the necessary library functions (used VB.NET in school, used C# this time purely for kicks).

I decided to DL firefox.

fuck is it awesome. gonna stop using IE once this browser session has been stopped.

I can now see why people say IE is a pile of shite, too.

After my (brief) experience with Opera, I'd place it at least on par with Firefox. Quite a different-looking animal.

Firefox seems to imitate Opera to an extent. Could be my imagination, as I have not followed either closely.

The V Mons are a really good show. It's about educating people about violence against women and issues like that, but also entertaining and... well, it's a good show with a good cause. It's the season for monologues, so you should see if your city or a college near you is putting them on. All the profits go to charity.
