What are y'alls favourite versions?

I'm thinking of picking up and Emulator and Rom of Pokemon, but I can't decide.

I've only played 1 and 2 gen extensively, plus a bit of Pokemon Black.

Well I'm a bit late here, but Ruby, and Sapphire is good too, for the sole basis that you can play through using only bug type pokemon. Bug catcher challenge is fun.

If possible I think I'd like to get in on the Battletech action though you'll have to put up with me being rather unfamiliar with the actual fighting rules. At one point I was going to play in a play by post game but it died out before we actually got to combat so most of my knowledge is limited to customizing mechs. Should there be a thread started in Other Games for it at this point perhaps?

And while we're on the subject, for those that don't know, there is a new mechwarrior game called Mechwarrior Online in development. There's some sort of turn based mechwarrior game called Mechwarrior Tactics in development as well that I happened to spy not to long ago.

I'm surprised there's so much interest really. Always took this as a primarily 40K fourm.

Anyone really interested should take a look at Megamek. It takes care of most of the work and lets you play the game as a TBS pretty much. With extra programs you can also use custom units, make your own scenarios, and play larger campaign games with the assistance of MekHQ.

It might well be, doesn't mean EVERYONE who plays tabletop wargames (or tabletop boardgames? :/) plays 40k.

Also, ooh, shineh! I'll probably play around with that a good bit. (Read: For hours on end. :3)
