Reading up some SCP Foundation. Experiments on SCP-914 cracked me up. Particularly this one: (had a good uncontrollable fit of laughter after reading the second entry)

Driving home is always kind of annoying, but a nearly deserted interstate, a thunderstorm lighting up the sky, and Dance of Thorns on car-shaking volume makes for some fun times.

Try salt and gold. See certain old (medieval?) African empires, built largely around salt mines/trade. So yeah. Salt is boss. :P
