Played borderlands a bunch, ended up getting a bombardier class mod + a triple incendiary rocket launcher. That in addition to my heavy investment into brick's blaster tree with maxed out endowed, rapid reload, revenge, wide load, and master blaster perks, as well as fast ammo regeneration from the team's Roland, I'm launching ludicrous amounts of rockets. Mushroom clouds for everyone!

So I can't say it's presence has been entirely deleterious.

As long as they aren't earbuds, they're probably pretty nice to wear I'd say. Earbuds feel weird to me, though they're not really any worse as a listening thingie as far as I can tell.

Depends on the earbud and how used to usin' them you are, at least in my experience. Sound wise, they tend to be as good or better than most headphones that don't do the full-ear cover thing, but it does tend to take a while to get used to havin' them in yer ear, unless you happen to be blessed with an ear that's just the right size for 'em. Also can make the ears a bit sore if they're too large and in too long, but that's not too bad, usually.

... the cheapest earbuds also tend to be a lil'cheaper than the cheapest headphones, so I'm rather used to using them at this point :P
