I show symptoms of discerning taste buds and thus can't stand the taste of tea or coffee. I'll probably get into it eventually, but for now, my tea is Mountain Dew.

Coffee gives me bizarre gastrointestinal discomfort after just one cup (notably, I recently drank a little and ended up burping for hours), so I stick with tea. For me, though, I only really enjoy it when I'm engaged with the rest of an aesthetic, so I don't drink tea much unless I have some sort of fancy mug to put it in, a view to admire, and a chilly wind whose contrast to the warm tea I can enjoy. Crackers or cookies help, too.

Nope, that is a type of tea. Tea is a drink that you brew from plant leaves, so mint is totally valid as a tea.

You find ceylon to be nasty, and I'm not surprised. The stuff they sell at the super market in paper bags tastes of cardboard. Trust me, it gets a lot better, and there are a lot of types of black tea, some tasting very different.
