Just went to see Red Tails.  Hokey acting, incredibly obvious script, no discernible plot whatsoever, the most incompetent Nazis in the history of film, and hilariously wooden acting from every white guy on screen.  Like any self-respecting nerd, I love to have my disdain of George Lucas vindicated at any opportunity.  And the CGI bombers were genuinely cool to see, after as much as I've clambered around them for real.

And it was a whopping $3, I saw previews and standees for a Three Stooges update that might be worth the price of admission, Star Wars in 3D (I'll wait out until 4), and something called Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and I'll think I'll go back some time soon and try to pick up the girl at the snack counter.

Yes, it is in fact for an electric piano, a rather crummy one. Some people might be aware that a while back in the sad thread I recanted something I shall refer to as "the piano incident", the result of which was the aforementioned sustain pedal being dumped on my desk, something which promptly brought me a great deal of joy.

So, I'm playing this empire-builder game on another forum. I am currently the head of the Anti-Psionic bloc, one of the two major alliances. opposing us is the Eastern Economic Coalition, which is made up entirely of psychic species.

Now, things are starting to heat up, and tensions are rising between us after we discovered they were making tyranids to use a ground assault troops.

Now, when i say alliance, what i really mean is that My self and the leader of the EEC are focused entirely on building fleets while our allies/vassals/satellite states focus on research and weapons development. They then give us that tech to make our fleets tougher. as it is, any war between us would result in total annihilation of both sides. To counter this, I have instituted a policy of converting all worlds that my alliance discovers into colonies that produce nothing but warships (torpedo boat swarms in space basically). Thus I own roughly 2/3rds of the worlds in our bloc's territory.

Things are finally coming to a head, in that we recently suffered a major terrorist attack, perpetrated by unknown group(s).

...It was better than I expected.  I mean, I guess it's the age old formula of "grind up low quality/ questionable meat and spice it to try and hide said adjectives" but it was still reasonably nice.

On a similar note, I've recently realized that ground beef and ground turkey effective taste the same when taco seasoning is added to them.

We always use ground turkey for nachos, tacos, and the like. It's actually a little cheaper and healthier than beef, and two people in the house don't like red meat.
