I'm at library when I hear someones phone ringing: "Rock and roll!!" and then... Is that Fluttershy???! It is and I know that song, I have on my phone too. The guy leaves quickly to answer his call while I quietly laugh.

Speaking of science, I know a legit MAD SCIENTIST who plays Dwarf Fortress. He gets payed to muck around with particle accelerators or ion beams or something equally badass and crazy all day.

Yeah, that's what I'm aiming for here, they do a lot on nanophotonics, biophysics on a molecular level and photovoltaics. How cool is that? Very.

Since a particle accelerator is highly expensive tech, I doubt he's able to just muck around with it willy-nilly.

I had a dream about Barbarossa in a tux and Vector running around in a long red bandanna and BDUs kicking people in the face. Oh, and I was the Big Bad of the dream. I'm a lucid dreamer, but I just kinda let this one go.

I made a mistake in the quantity of dry beans. Then I adjusted the quantity of every thing else. Very soon I will have 10+ lbs of black beans, rice and sausage. This is a horrific but delicious culinary disaster.

In happy news, I've managed to wheedle my way into both of the courses I wanted, even though that was supposed to be impossible.  Also, we're not learning LISP in the compsci course... we're learning Python :D :D :D  Games-ho!

As someone in a computing major, I can state that the stereotype of the overly desperate nerd is indeed a thing. There have been numerous times, particularly among incoming freshmen, when they come into a room breathlessly telling their friend/s about this girl they met in their major who likes all the things they do. A little while later, they discover almost everyone in their major and similar majors, including women, like the same things they do. Before long...

Yaaaay, Python! By far the most fun language I've seen to program in. Not the most efficient to say the least, but that hardly matters for most people.
