The kid's dialog seemed pretty normal. Unless I missed the hammy parts while skimming it.
I take it you missed the kids hurr hurr hurring about every single thing the DM said oh wait that actually is normal. Hm. Well, there was the dude who voted they step into the pit and float to the bottom. And also the one who tried to drop a flashlight down the pit.

Playing through the Fabled Lands books again, I forgot how awesome they were. too bad the last 6 books were never released :(

Its not just that though, its like you buying a $50 dollar steam gift card for TF2, and after spending $20 of it, steam says, "Oh well, its no longer valid, sucks to be you, and no, you don't get your remaining credit back or get to spend it on any other games".

But seriously, 100,000 players daily MAKING CUPCAKES?

I was slightly encouraged when I went to that "Presidential Petition" webspace recently.  A lot of the same sure, but there were thoughtful ones too, like some jailed dissident in Sri Lanka and such.  I remember the first round of responses the "petitions" got, and tellingly enough, the new one with by far the most signers is, "You're the one who made this Online Petition thing, so respond to it with something more than a press release."

STALKED, Call of Pripyat. Hid from an emission in an underground snork lair, spent all my shotgun ammo shooting at them, they just kept appearing from somewhere in the darkness. Happened upon a group of stalkers on my way back through the swamp, ambushed them with with my one remaining grenade and my pistol. Thinking I had restocked enough for the moment, I got sidetracked on my way to a stash and got mauled by a bloodsucker. God I love this game.
