This made me laugh today, partly because I didn't expect the cats and partly because of how accurate it is.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I think I remember hearing that EpicMealTime is going to get their own show on G4 or something.

Which will then be canceled after one season, like most of their new shows.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

That's actually rather inaccurate, it really depends where in America and Britain you go for a lot of that, and some people just have the other pronunciation... like me, I'm something of a linguistic bastard.

Finally got tired of waiting for a better Deus Ex:HR steam sale and bought it for $25 on amazon's download service (which I then got the CD key from, put it on my steam account, and downloaded it from there). From the few hours I've played so far, the gameplay feels very similar to the original, which is of course a major plus. Lots of optional dialog with side characters and side-quests for more tasty xp are also quite nice. Overall it's great, especially since I have a liking for the aesthetics and moral quagmires associated with cyberpunk tales. :D

I saw Hugo! It was adorable, a very well done movie, and the 3D didn't give me as much of a headache as in the past. It's the first movie I've seen that's more of a "movie done in 3d" than a "movie with 3d shoehorned in". I liked all the little subplots too, such as the Station Inspector and Bookstore Owner and whatnot.

Gonna go watch the first season of Sherlock, though I do feel a bit cheated that it's only 3 episodes long.

Oh, well.  See y'all around.

One of the few movies where I've actually been able to tolerate an overt romantic subplot, let alone two.  It was nice.  Gotta say, I also liked the dogs.

I might be wrong, but IIRC I saw that in 2D. I'm not big on 3D most of the time.

I am a sucker for romance/love. At least, the shy, almost-romance, or the old-couple-that's-been-together-forever type love, not so much the overt, makeouts-every-five-seconds kind. The station inspector was adorable :3
