In the Netherlands "Nederland" is pronounced (approximately) "Nay-der-lond", and "Nederlands" is the language, I have no clue where "Dutch" comes from.

*sigh* I should have never tried to learn German, maybe I would still be able to speak Dutch.

Delivery speeds at this time of year make me quite happy. Some gundam model kits I ordered are already packaged up, shipped, and currently already almost halfway here from cross country in the space of a day and a half from when I ordered it (technically 1 day if you go by when the order was first processed since I placed the order at night and they don't process till morning). Unable to wait I tried finding a local store that had model kits with none to be found... Buuut then I realized Steam had started their winter sales so thats got me happily distracted and I'm currently playing Bioshock 2 from it.

If my memory serves, it has something to do with Holland and Germany being one in the same 700 or so years ago. The German word for German is Deutsch ("doich"), so Dutch kinda came from that.

Or something.

Got an A in German.  Also, got a B in my set theory class, and probably either a B or an A in logic.  Given the way this semester went, that is a very, very good grade.

But Vector! What of the orphan quizzes of those poor exams you have so summarily destroyed? Who will feed them additional characters so that they can grow longer than a single page and take their places among their forebears of legend?

Although, to be fair, since the legends in question are about your epic duels and your ultimate victory, perhaps this is the more humane route in the end.

Almost done reading The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks. It's the first book in a while that has made me truly unconformable while reading parts of it. I'm always happy for things to give me a strong emotional response and this book is impressing me.
