Spear ditches were standard issue for a very long time in any area where a moat would be impractical (such as on a hill). So anywhere before the 16th century would probably be a good guess, though it depends on the size of the settlement and the area where you're located/basing yourself on.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

I was just informed that today is Monday, not Tuesday. As such, I now have basically no work to do tomorrow.

Heh, the way you said that made me imagine you were at some kind of press conference.

I don't know why that made me laugh.

This is brought to mind. But in reverse.

I got an "excellent" written on one of my weekly papers, on top of also having an A grade.  Rah!  Eat that, Berkeley liberal arts programs!

*shrug*

Pretty much the only unilaterally good thing that's happened today other than not being dead, so I'll go with it.

That people actually enjoy my writing is amazing.  I love making people happy with something like that, and I just love getting replies that people are enjoying what I do :)

Granted, it's just an LP so not anything majorly creative...but who knows where it'll lead.

Not so long ago I had a large stack of books to read through but now I've ran out. I'm also running out of space so buying too many more might not be the best idea. I might have to rejoin the local library. I'll be reading A Clockwork Orange again while I look for more literature. The hunt is on.

I almost posted this in the sad thread because I'm sad to be out of books but then I realised it was time to find new books.

"Hi
CSE1010 class is canceled for tonight.
I will email you an assignment that will be due next class.
Have a nice day"

Suddenly my day is cleared up.  After Chemistry I'll be free for the rest of the day.

I guess Chemistry can be neat sometimes, but the class I have is pretty outrageous.  It's the only class I would never raise my hand/voice in.  It's just a bad idea.

Although, to complicate things I have to do some community activity requirements and one of them is today, unfortunately I no longer have the will to stay here after class so I'm going home.  This morning was freakin' cold.  SAMUI
I also made a promise with someone so I'll have to busy somewhat.  Guess it doesn't matter really.
