I approve of that story.

Also, I want to say that the single greatest part of being older than 20 is the ability to buy your own creme de menthe. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. This is the best bowl of ice cream I've ever partaken of, om nom nom.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I'm in one of my 'unreasonably happy for no reason at all' moods, where I feel romantic and artistic and helpful.
Shame I'm going to crash later on today and be all depressed, but hey, enjoy it while I can!

Fate/Zero?  Hmmm, maybe I will!  I keep wanting to go on a Japanese-binge (along with my Shakespeare-, John Irving-, and Dickens-binges ::)), but I haven't had the time.  Maybe after I do this little spot of Russian-studying, over the next two weeks.  I need to prepare for the poetry-translation-helping-project I think I just successfully landed :D

I approve.  I don't know much about L4D, but the images online looked both hot and badass.

I'd like to think I'm a Francis, but I'm really much more of a Louis.

Yeah, Louis was sort of dropped in there as the "everyman". If you're not any of the others, you're louis.
