Last evening was fun. Had dinner with my grandma. Bashed on stepfather. PLayed some Uno. Got tons of marmelade. Got a pic of my grandma wearing shades and it's pretty awesome. Also analyzed my family tree which is pretty wtfucked up.

Stephen Colbert is doing one of the finest acts of public service ever broadcast on television, and it's hysterical.

Oh my goodness, Babylon 5 once again strikes to the gooey essences of my little heart ;_;

And I'm still freaking out about the suggestion-to-write-a-paper-and-publish-it thing.  In mathematics.

Like oh my god.  Wow.  Me?

Tell us the release date of said paper, and we will gladly read it. IIRC, you're awesomely intelligent math woman (who lives on the EDGE), and I think published paper could be a good exercise for you. But that's just mine opinion~~

Haha, well, I haven't written it yet, but if I do write it, and it does get published, I will let you know.

I'm just happy that ... well, by the time I graduate, I may be published in both rhetoric and mathematics, and if my short story writing ever gets off the ground, then, then....

I will read it, and my eyes will immediately glaze over and then possibly melt. That's a risk of untrained exposure to high levels of mathematics radiation right? I'm not sure, I don't have any training.

EDIT: Oh, and pasta with spinach and vodka sauce. Very excellent substrate for nomming.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I would be happy to melt from mathematics radiation caused by Vector :P

Amen. As usual, Colbert just rocks when it comes to this stuff. Probably the only other person that has kept my interest in politics (despite being a willing non-participant/Non-voter myself).

Got an extensive email from an aunt of mine who does a lot of genealogical research, and apparently a many-greats uncle of mine was a British privateer who was an associate of Drake and made a substantial fortune stealing from the Spanish, including one notable incident where he siezed a ship with a hold full of pearls. Does this mean I can talk like a pirate whenever I please?   :P

I swear manga is somehow getting both more educated, and insane at the same time. It is wonderful.
