Shouldn't the "Attractive Roomate" go under Pros? That'd be a whole lot better than having an ugly roomate.

Attractive roommates lead to issues. Personal experience.

Long story. Not my roommate though.

Translation: Vester was the attractive room-mate.

What? No! :P

I have a personal experience with someone who had issues with an attractive roommate. My parents would have died before they let me dorm (until recently).

My counterpoint was that if you're smart about it, you can have a casual relationship and it's no big deal, even if you want to move on. It's easy if you're "just friends". I know some people don't operate like that, but I can only offer my point of view.

Kids are dumb at 14. I was dumb at 14. Hell, I'm a wise enough guy to realise that I'm still young and stupid as all hell, even though I feel old and living an anachronistic existence.

Besides, I don't do anything casually. :P 110%, everything. For me, life's much more interesting when you throw yourself into it.
Unless I'm mistaken (which I very well may be, given that it's...well...me,) Bauglir is older than 14, and I was running commentary on his situation. Being 14 should not have any influence on the situation at hand. (I, for one, wasn't interested in anything but spray painting things and fighting for money and blood at 14.)

Fighting for blood? Oh dear, did you have anemia? :(

My parents and I are pretty much 'bros' about everything. Probably because they know I won't do anything stupid without a very good reason, and vice versa. They have developed a slightly annoying habit of dropping small hints egging me on to get a girlfriend, but I can very easily ignore those as well as the subject they relate to. However, they're pretty conservative folk, so I doubt they would approve of me getting a roommate of the opposite gender at any point in time unless we were engaged or something. And frankly, I wouldn't want to live with anyone unless I was absolutely sure that they already knew me inside and out and wouldn't freak out upon seeing the inside of my abode.

Instead of blood or money you should have fought over ink.

Anyhow, I'm happy that I got cyanogenmod 6.1 android 2.1 running on my *apparently ancient* G1/HTC dream dev phone.

nerd cred, bitches~

EDIT: This means I probably won't waste money on a Samsung Galaxy S2 and will wait until the next super sexy phone gen comes out.

#45 is antiquated. No one uses it anymore. That's why we moved to 60, 564, 920 and 940 in our consumer machines.

Maybe it's just me, but I always liked those issues. Either that, or I was a lot more casual about...uh...relationships than you guys are.

I'm Catholic and grew up with overprotective parents, so that's a pretty good bet. They wouldn't even let me take the train alone until I was nineteen.
There's always that particular level of overprotective that changes sheltered children into rampant sex fiends, though.

Didn't happen to me, although god knows my parents worried.

"[Vester] WHY ARE YOU OUT SO LATE"
"'Nay it's just another thirty minutes"
"I DON'T CARE WE HAD A DEAL YOU SAID YOU'D BE BACK BY 10! ABUSADO KA NA!"
"'Nay I'm literally three blocks down."
"ARE THERE BOYS THERE? YOU BE CAREFUL HA! I DON'T WANT YOU DOING THINGS!"
"What things 'Nay?"
"YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT DON'T PLAY DUMB"
ad infinitum

And my parents and I went something like this:

Parents: You snuck out again. And you have a black eye. You were out fighting again.
MZ: Yes. Yes. And yes.
Parents: Did you at least make the other guy bleed?
MZ: Yes.
Parents: Who was there?
MZ: The police. That's why I left.
Mother: I meant which friend of yours?
Father: Were there girls there?
MZ: None, and yes.
Mother: Who were you with?
Father: Why were you fighting when there was girls? Did you make any money, at least?
MZ (rest of night): ...
I have a slightly different, slightly more concise story:

Parent's: It's a beautiful night outside, why don't you go to a movie with your friends or something?
Me: That's ok, I don't really feel like it.
Parents: :T
Me: :I

Someone's been reading Poorly Drawn Lines, but who?

One of my new media professors shared that image on facebook.

That was actually meant as pure sarcasm, as I have been up for a long time and as such, believe this is potentially a dream. This belief raises my "MAXSNARK" value astronomically.
