Things that make me happy include very large fireballs. I should probably get that checked out.

Every single picture that has come out of this Libyan civil war looks like it came from beyond the Thunderdome.  I should put together a set.

I was awake enough to see this dude with a red bow tie and yellowish suit sit down nearby.  I, being tired and grumpy, thought "fucking physicists" and rolled over.

Guess who was teaching the set theory course I walked into 20 minutes later?

Everyone will ultimately respect what I'm trying to do.

EDIT:

Thank God.  I'm finally done.

That option is only complete if you can then drive to the other party yourself and hang out with the girl.

I laughed at this, but had to restrain myself from being too loud because I'm in a quiet area outside on a bench with a single stranger on another bench.

Pumpkin curry again. Simple this time due to lack of ingredients (just rice, pumpkin, and raisins with seasoning, basically), but it should be tasty.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I've been awake for nearly 36 hours, I have a mild case of mono, took some NyQuil and I still can't sleep. And I have lost my motherfucking flipping coin. How will I make my two way decisions now? The freedom, the horrible horrible freedom.

Does this belong in the happy thread? I'm too woozy to figure it out.
Incidentally I predict someone will comment on my spelling of NyQuil, no idea why.
Really.

Pnx, would recommend you try and get some sleep. See a doctor and get sedated if you have to, but that sounds like you're losing some brain function.

I know, I'm aware I'm not entirely coherent right now. Things are more than a little doolally for me right now, my head is very fuzzy.
For the record, this isn't actually the first time this has happened, I've been unable to sleep two nights in a row a cpuple of times before (though I don't think I've ever made it to the third night before... not that I've actually tried). Most often sometime later in the sleep switch will finally start working again and I can switch off... Insomnia this bad is really a few times a year thing for me.... I'm not sure how relevant all of that was.
I'm going to lie down now and see if I fall asleep.

Incidentally white rabbit sends his salutations. Jam tomorrow!

So, this being my junior year of high school, Ive finally decided to crack down on my study habits, take a bunch of college prep classes, and generally get more serious about my future education and employment. It feels great. College, I WILL reach you, and when I do, I will CONQUER you!!! *BATTLECRY*
