I beat the prosecutor's motion (which he said I could not) with quiet dignity and grace. I refused to gloat, though he has done this to me before, repeatedly (Hey sometimes clients just did it...). I thanked him for the honor of facing him in court. He seems impressed and we might end up being more friendly, which would make my job easier.

Well done. I don't think I'd be able to hold back the fratboyish moron inside.

As collective human beings we never seem to just understand the power of being humble.

I'm not gonna congratulate you on being the better person as that just reduces this back to a contest, but I will comment on a situation changing from two people being enemies to two people being friends. Awesome job.

The Colour out of Space really creeped me out. In a good way.
Three more short stories and I'm done with this Lovecraft collection.

Now time to do all the other things I planned on doing today but had to postpone, because I needed to help my parent all day long..

Apparently I won't need surgery for my ulcers, just antibiotics and acid suppresants.
Also, doctor's visit it over, yey

That reminds me that I have not needed to go to the hospital in 6-months, that is a record for me!

Oh yeah. Pretty cool that Lovecraft did a 50's radiation monster B-movie type story almost 20 years before the first A-bomb.

I'd really like to see a movie based on this, using todays technology.
There's no way it could match the scene in my imagination, but the result should be breathtaking.

Voila: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1318056/

It's an Italian film based on it.

Judging from the trailer, it doesn't seem to focus on the atmosphere described in the book or the plot.
More like standard horror movie, where people in some desolate place start going mad and kill each other.
