I finished Ender's Shadow. I cried a little bit. Now on to Ender in Exile, then Shadow of the Hegemon :3

I don't know if it's the content of the books, or just the sentimental value of reading them again, but I love it.

Friend got back from a summer of National Gourd training. This weekend is all about reintroducing him to humanity and getting crazy.

Huh, it seems IE still works through a convoluted work-around and my task manager states that there are sound drivers when it clearly does not recognize my plugged-in speakers.

 Progress?

Quote from: Toady One
My adventurer fought through around sixty zombies in the tower, killed the necromancer, learned the secrets of life and death, and then raised various limbs (not my own). Then I talked to one of them, and it told me that it was peasant. It was flattered but had no need of my services. I imagine its little fingers were shaped into the form of a mouth and they flapped back and forth while it spoke with a high-pitched voice. I guess there's still work to do.

Fuckin' A, this was beautiful...

That's....both unsettling and very humorous to imagine, Toady talking to himself with a hand-puppet in a high pitched voice.

I love this dragon. It is the best at setting things on fire.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Managed to overcome my writing laziness and actually nudged my rpg project.

After two hours, I actually managed to finish third and last religion (politheistic pantheon), fixed chronology, plants&animals list and two unplayable-but-existing races of the world.

Go me! :D
