Though this is very simple, I also think it is very, very cool:

Code Academy.

Prompted by my defrosted friends who got me to play Battlestar Galactica the board game, I have finally acquainted myself with the television series. While true to my nature, I have spent most of the viewing time snarking and complaining about the many plot holes, annoying overuse of deus ex machina, and whatnot, in the end I had to admit that it was a great show. By no means perfect, yet seeing how convoluted and non-trivial of a story it took upon itself to tell, I'm willing to cut it a lot of slack.
One simply must appreciate how it managed to avoid cheap moralising and hamfisted rightousness when resolving each of the many moral dilemmas it tackles - common trappings of not only your typical sf show, but popculture in general.
There's also some rather memorable music there.

Filling out the last holes in my oblivion mod list (I still need my pose mods! And that one NPC face mod!) before I install the unofficial patches and then morrowblivion.  THEN my other mods, then the bashed patch, THEN make my two personal mods.

Alllmost there...

Hmm... Need advice.

Draggy or Starky?  I'm also using Norris and Lynx, of course.

BEST LINE IN THE BOOK. MIND = BLOWN. Again, that is; it's been a while since I read Ender's Shadow. I'm going back and rereading every Orson Scott Card book o3o

And I just talked myself into getting FCOM setup instead of just OOO.

Welp, my install is that much more complicated and oh god this game is gonna be huge when I finish.

Today was good day.

4 year anniversary with the wife. I worked two stores today, then came home and took the wife out to dinner at the local casino's buffet. So, we both took $5 and intended to have a little bit of fun and then go home. $10 is no big deal, right? So, I sit down on a penny slot machine, and immediately hit for $58. Turns out, a drink apiece, dinner (3 plates apiece plus desserts), and a little bit of people watching was on the house. ^_^

We should have Barbarossa do that run. He would go so fast and look so boyishly good that the skirts would disintegrate.

If you've got a good grip on German and English you could also shoot for Danish (or Dutch, but that would be self-promotion). Hell, I can kind of read that site linked by Lysabild even though all my Danish knowledge comes from a 2 week vacation last year.
Dutch is very close to Low German, and Danish was hugely influenced by Low German since Low German was the trading language after the Viking age, also, Denmark received a crap ton of German immigrants at this time and the Danish king and the United Provinces were pretty good friends many times, I remember a Danish king invited Dutch people to farm on Amager, though the Dutch didn't mind leaving the Danes to get pwned to make sure Denmark never got big again :/ But yeah, it's said here that if you're drunk Dutch makes sense.

But, if one wants to learn Scandinavian, one should learn Norwegian, since Norwegian provides more of a gateway into both Danish and Swedish.

But can you count to 100? That's the true test of danish comprehension.
Silly Norwegian, it makes perfect sense! Just ask the French!

Which video game? I'm pretty sure there's quite a lot like that, I just can't name any.

It is the best thing because I had no idea it was about to happen.
