Last two sentences of my essay:

And now, I live.

And when you have forgotten me, I will die.

I await the day I can take nontraditional essay formats in college assignments.

Yeah, I think we had "creative" opportunities in high school, but I wasn't enough of a punk back then to actually go into it full-bore.

That, and I know at least two other people personally who would have picked exactly this topic.

I almost always take the option to put a creative spin on assignments, or stretch the assignment's definitions where I could. I turned a reading of Robert Burns "To a Mouse" into a short sketch drama (after practicing my brogue), recited T.S. Elliot's "Hollow Men" with some homemade atonal background ambiance, and stretched an expository "How-To" presentation into covering the theory behind "How to make a Universe" if one were an all-powerful being, complete with scientific explanations for the creation of planets, stars, and other interstellar phenomena.

I know what he was saying.  The pronunciation was odd.  Not that what he says makes any logical sense in the first place.  He relates mustard with more mustard plus the universe.
I've heard him in a few places before. Raocow's manner of speech seems like it'd make a great example of how to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Do you know what the man is saying? Do you? This is dialectics. It's very simple dialectics. One through nine, no maybes, no  supposes, no fractions -- you can't travel in space, you can't go out into space, you know, without, like, you know, with fractions -- what are you going to land on, one quarter, three-eighths -- what are you going to do when you go from here to Venus or something -- that's dialectic physics, OK? Dialectic logic is there's only love and hate, you either love somebody or you hate them.

Did I ever mention the time that I handed in a D&D statblock for Satan for a Paradise Lost project? Good times. Also, German projects are great, although mine was far less sophisticated than Vector's (being for 1st year High School German). The most time-consuming part was photoshopping the Burger King mascot's mask into all the pictures (very poorly) so that using "Der Koenig" as the subject for all my sentences would be accurate. Including, just to be an ass, "Der Koenig ist koeniglich".

I was the laziest student, but goddamn was I willing to put in the work to get there.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Still on my Puella Magi Madoka Magica binge.

I love how it's all so cutesy in the opening songs and the like, but they hit you with the proverbial hammer so many times that I think I'll have a metaphorical headache.

I also like the Faustian references and such.

Deal with the Devil?

This. There are tons of quotes in the series itself (the runes inscribed on the walls are quotes from the work itself)
