Now I want to go to San Francisco and meet Vector, haha.

Looks like we have the beginnings of a forum meme here, only this one involves showing up at somebody's home, ideally unannounced. I PREDICT NO PROBLEMS.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Guess who got to wear the cutest dress ever and have a movie night with a friend and her husband who is totally cool about GLBT? Guess who got to live a day as a woman and loved how nothing really changed the whole day, except feeling a million times better!

I seriously think straight men who are cool with the gays are awesome. Too many great friendships between gays and girls are ended or fade out when girl's husband isn't cool with gays. Andrew doesn't care; not one bit at all in even the slightest way! I get to keep my friend and have little hang out movie nights with her. So many different kinds of yay....

Ack! It was a silly joke, and a ridiculous extrapolation, nothing more! I've no desire to make people feel unhappy in the happy thread.

EDIT: I also wish I could visit Vector sometime cause she seems awesome

I kinda hinted at this in the photo thread, ut I just stumbled across amazing pictures of my dad when he was younger. First he looked like my brother, then he grew an amazing neckbeard for college, then he grew a moustache that embodies the entirity of the 70´s and looks like an intense Japa, then he transforms into a European strongman before settling down into my dad. Good lord he looks like a different person entirely during each of these phases.

And saw Super 8 with one of my probably hundred cousins. Charming movie about a group of friends shooting a movie. Said movie they shoot blows away the actual movie.

So they're making a movie about some people making a movie about them making a movie... etc.?

That is literally the same thing you implied the first time. Its simple. The kids make a movie better than the movie they are in. Nothing deeper, nothing infinite, just two things.

And the movie itself isnt that bad, the kids movie is just amazing.

Barbarossa is actually as thin as I am! That makes me feel not so underweight.
Errr... I'm rather underweight myself. People aren't generally 5'10 and 125 pounds. But still, stick bros!

I'm 5'10, too, but I think I'm like 130-135 pounds, rather. I don't exercise QUITE so much and I probably can't outrun bears and cougars just yet. :P

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
