Hm... I think I may have just received the highest (in my opinion) praise I've gotten in recent memory, and it came in Internet sticker form! Commencing smiling in negative 10 seconds.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Turns out it was just that nobody told me I was invited to a party, not that I was specifically not invited. Also I got a lolly bag anyway.

Watching Metalocalypse. So far, I'm not regretting it.

Fuck yes!

Anyway, good morning, Bay 12. I woke up at a normal time again.
Not really "things that made me happy today", but didn't have time to post yesterday evening.
Anyway, met up with some friends for the first time in the month. Had some cool moments.

Friend 1: Actually, I think being a metalhead fits you.
Me: No, not really. Why?
Friend 1: Well, there's the growling and screaming, there's your psycho laugh that sounds like a crow getting raped and there's <ugly disfiguring birth defect>. And also you laugh at horror movies and pull of awesome stuff that ends badly for you.
Me: Well, when you put it like that...

Friend 2: Electronic music doesn't even sound like songs to me, it sounds like music.
Me: ...Haha...
Friend 2:WAIT WHAT- I mean it doesn't sound like music, it's just a rhythm!
Me: I know, I know. You still failed.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

*Friend 1 and friend 3 start singing a supposed-to-be-funny song that ends up way to long, then they stop*
Me: I'm laughing not because I find the song funny, but because you memorized so much.
Friend 2: Hey, that's all you know? *Continues song*
Me:  ::)
(I swear, it lasted for like 5 minutes of non-stop singing.)

Was it the song from Portal? Because just about everyone who has played Portal (and plenty who haven't) know pretty much the entire thing.

No. It's much faster and thus had more lyrics. I don't really remember the song. I remember that how long they sang that for was ridiculous.

Not much to watch again tonight, checked out VH1Classic again (maybe have some music playing) and learned they were having a weekend celebrating MTV's 30th anniversary. Surprisingly, I caught a short clip playing that reminded me of an interesting show that used to play on MTV Oddities (a segment of Liquid Television, same show where Beavis & Butthead and Aeon Flux originated from), finally caught the name of it, and am watching a few episodes of it. The show? The Maxx.

Already after the first couple episodes, I got DF Modding ideas from the Outback, just like how The Maxx explained them. Much fun to be had with those things; especially the Isz. Nasty little buggers.
