Today, I might be getting my paycheck from my uncle for a job I did for him last week. Dividing the time spent on the task (refine and resize logo to higher resolutions, apply it to a 4x3 sticker template and apply a similar format to a larger document for T-Shirts; took less time than you'd think) and how much I got paid (kinda worth it), I think I'm liking my choice to freelance, since it landed within my pay rate range I would normally charge (Fixed Pay/Hours Spent = Assumed Hourly Rate; Also easily double what my old job paid), and it has a modest set of hours, depending on the jobs I'm given. Additionally, I've been told that I might have more work ahead of me in the future with the logo involved, so that's always nice. On that note, it seems my updated time tracker optimized for my freelancing works quite well. Might as well have something new to track a new format of working, and a way to do some bookkeeping with my freelancing so I can accurately fill in my self-employment tax sheet when the time comes.
And also there's a Twilight Zone marathon on Syfy today.
EDIT:
Also just played Shadow of the Colossus (from game disc) in PCSX2, and I can slay these giants without my graphics card heating up fortunately, although I think my play speed is limited by my DVD-reader speed. I'm testing out if an ISO conversion will make the process quicker and smoother for broadcastability. Might try to stream the game tomorrow if I have the time to.
FAKE-EDIT:
ISO conversion has actually improved speed and quality of the game a bit, and I don't have the annoying whirring noise to deal with while playing. HUZZAH! A speed/quality test later through Procaster, and if everything goes well enough, I'll be seeing you in my channel. And in case nobody has played or seen the game before, I'll start from the beginning. Although I was also hoping I could salvage an old save and play hard mode instead. Oh well.
EDIT EDIT:
I need a better computer if I expect to stream that game, although it does play beautifully otherwise. Apparently running Procaster (at lowest possible settings) at the same time as PCSX2 just maxes out my CPU and my internet connection to Livestream is cut off inexplicably probably because of it. Which also reminds me, if I expect to get better connection quality, I gotta update my wireless internet USB device. Thing seems a bit outdated and really limited compared to the router specs. That could be a real help for any possible future streams and multiplayer gaming.
Seeing as "Game Mode" setting seems to work properly now, I might see if I can play AOE2 and stream that at all.
EDIT EDIT EDIT:
And still no luck getting AOE2 to stream.
