There are two ways to improve at cooking. One involves following a lot of recipes. The other is a whole lot more fun and merely involves reading a lot of recipes. All I'm saying is, energy drinks with pineapple make for extradelicious curry. On the other hand, I'd never have learned that alfredo sauce is actually possible without reading Wikipedia, so I have to endorse learning through research. Tasty research. Mandarin orangesFoods of any kind are proof that God exists, and he wants us to have good curry.

I'm not really going anywhere with this, or giving advice to anyone in particular. I'm kind of just rambling. I probably shouldn't be doing that, but oh well. Now I get to sleep, which is nice.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

My issue is that I try to follow recipes, but I never quite actually... follow them >_>

See, this curry was supposed to have tomatoes.  But I don't have any tomatoes.  Or any of... well, rather a lot of things, really.

So it's more like I take what I have and hope really hard =/

My little brother got paint on my floor, and then cleaned it up with a towel (exactly like I told him not to), hit me with it (it was wet and he snapped it, so I have a bruise), and then locked himself in the bathroom for half an hour. Five minutes in I put two space heaters in his room on full power, and when he got out and went into his room it was REALLY humid and hot. Haha, who is the winner now!?

I'd figure Recettear is easier on the graphics card than TF2, and a million times more adorable.

Well I would hope so... But the only site I know of that can tell you whether your computer is up to snuff doesn't have that game listed.

Aaand I went ahead and bought it. Shop runs fine, my brief test of the dungeon nets very low FPS but then I hadn't altered the configuration yet so looks like it'll work. I figured that it wouldn't run because most games (aside from mmos and even a few of those) past a certain year just plain won't run on this old thing.

Ah, did you finally realize it was just a practice run for death?
