Another holiday, another set of songs I can pour my attention to on the piano.

Next on the list is Gentle. I don't know why the heck he wrote it in effing G-flat major (that's 6 flats!), or why he uses G-clefs for the left hand primarily, but oh my word isn't it worth it. It sounds amazing and is even more amazing to play. I fear I'll be done with it far too soon. Then I'll have to find something else to play.

But. It's crazy! Why would they call it that? Why not call it 'strip of chocolate with inexplicable chocolate shapes that have nothing to do with the candy on the wrapper"?

Wait fuck what?

Why would you even decide to grab a snake by it's anus in the first place?

It should have been obvious.

Grabbing wild animals by the ass, in any situation, is never a good idea, regardless of intent or the average docility of the animal in question. This also applies to tame animals, unless you are a vetrinarian.

Watch out Animal Planet. We have a new TV personality in the works!

Probably so he could eat its innards, piss into its skin and drink it.
Or at least, that's what he did with the snake on the desert episode.

He said that he had learned the hard way, so it seems that the question is not only, “why would you grab a snake by the anus?” but also “why did Bear Grylls grab a snake by the anus?”

Since one would think that a guy with his own TV show about wilderness stuff would know that.  Then again, every episode I've watched, I've seen him give some piece of advice that would probably kill anybody following it.

...How would you even know that you're holding a snake's anus, anyway?  I would think it'd be hard enough to find deliberately, let alone when wrasslin' one.

I think it's like some little hole near the end of the tail, but I'm no herpetologist.

Snakes have a cloaca, not an anus.
And the males have two penises.

I dunno, that sounds like some Grade A herpetology to me.

Thanks thread, this has been a good conversation.
