Will you guys stop it with the bullshit? Thanks. Making fun of others isn't happy.
I actually am American, but alright.

That second quote still makes me laugh though.

As a person who was born in and hasn't yet succeeded in ever escaping America, making fun of Americans makes me happy.

The basic rule of this topic is don't post just to see yourself post. And make sure you're either posting something that made you happy today or recently, or discussing something that made someone happy. Any discussion on a topic brought up in this board is fine so long as it doesn't go out of control enough to warrant it's own topic, or is not offensive to someone or some group.

See the bolded part? If it makes you happy to make fun of a group, race, gender or whatever it doesn't go here. End of story.

It doesn't matter, any of those excuses. You are still insulting other people, many of which who fall under the categories used are more intelligent/wise/competent than anybody in this thread. It ain't cool.

I was actually made happy last summer by a similar subject. Namely one of those look-how-dumb-American-teenagers-are interviewers ran into me while I was in Portland. I proceeded to draw Europe from memory so that he could ask his questions about where they were. (He forgot his map in his car.)

This is why I'm wearing a bandana with the stars and stripes in Europe. I'm gonna impress the shit outta them and stop this bullshit.

It's Bloomington.
That's like going to Texas and being happy you're in Austin. :b

Haven't spent much time in Bloomington, though I know a lot of people who went to school there.  I'm in Plainfield.

The name makes it sound very boring up there.
On a scale of 1-10, how accurate is that?
Oh, and I'm leaving for Texas in the morning, but that's wrong thread. :b

I love the When They Cry series.  :]  I've probably clocked at least 200 hours on them since I started playing them in March.  Because of WTC I was able deal with losing my house and get through the rest of High School happily.  I have to thank Ace Attorney for introducing me to the wonders of good visual novels and Leafsnail for linking me to Umineko and then Higurashi, even though I played the second series Umineko first you won't be spoiling Higurashi since there's almost no connection hehehe.  My life wouldn't be more complete otherwise.

It's mostly upper-middle class suburbia.  There are a couple nice parks, good schools, a nice theater, and a rapidly expanding commercial area.  But it is all basically built on a 'plain field'.  As in most of Indiana, if you're not fanatic about sports or drinking or bible thumping (or in plainfield - clothes shopping), there's nothing for you here.

Liking sports is, indeed, an important part of enjoying Indiana.
Luckily, Bloomington has roller derby. :D

The gas station near me sells travel mugs that you can refill extremely cheaply at any of their other stations. They have one that is a gallon and a half of soda. I bought two, so I can keep a rotation going for 24/7 soda goodness.

Sounds like a persona kinda place.

Hardly anything to do but beat the inner manifestations of man.
Look out for gas station attendants.

My parents have gone to roller derby a couple times.  I need to check that out.  It looks like it would be fun to see at least once.

In general, though, I really don't care about sports.  It's a bunch of people I don't know playing a game.  Why should I care?  I do love to play sports, just not spectate.  My mentality is very very very uncommon in this state.  People here argue sports issues like they're acting in a hospital drama... all the time.  They rarely talk about anything else.
